FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
What's In A Name?A new name for the PCAUSA Win32 NDIS Framework (WinDis 32)September 25, 2000 -- Although the name of a product isn't nearly as important as its functionality and reliability, having a good product name is of value to both the customer and the manufacturer. Here at PCAUSA we've recently given some thought to our product naming, and have decided to make some changes. Beginning in late September, 2000 we are going begin using a new product name for the PCAUSA Win32 NDIS Framework (WinDis 32):
To help in this transition, just remember this phrase: "Rawether for Windows, the Win32 NDIS Framework." There will be a slow migration from the WinDis 32 naming to Rawether. When contacting PCAUSA or reading PCAUSA documentation any of these names refer to the same product:
PCAUSA will also begin using a new website dedicated to the Rawether for Windows product: As with the new Rawether for Windows product name, there will be a slow migration to use of the Rawether.NET website.
We'll keep our "PCAUSA" company name, thank you!Our complete company name is "Printing Communications Associates., Inc.", which was chosen in 1988 when "PCA" was heavily involved in PostScript printing and AppleTalk networking development. Our business has changed a lot since then. And of course, "Printing Communications Associates., Inc." is not a good name for Internet commerce. So we refer to ourselves as "PCAUSA" on the internet. Although "PCAUSA" isn't flashy, lots of PCAUSA customers and potential customers are familiar with it. So, we'll keep the name "PCAUSA", thank you! We will be adding a very simple Logo to help remind you that you're visiting a PCAUSA website:
